Naura Hungry for More Tries

Turbo-charged winger Mosese Naura is hungry to score more tries against Naitasiri in Round 10 of the Skipper Cup at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori, tomorrow.

The Nanoko, Vatusila, Navosa, native scored two tries in Nadi’s 17-12 victory over Suva in their Skipper Cup clash at home.

A week before that, Naura scored a try in Nadi’s win over Nadroga and was able to pin down Fijian Drua winger Taniela Rakuro with his strong tackles.

“I have faith that we will work harder than last week’s victory to face Naitasiri,” he told SUNsports yesterday.

“The hard work began on Monday.

“In a given day one will win and one will lose but we are going for a podium finish. The team is working towards that.”

He has been part of the Nadi side since last year and is enjoying his second year with the team.

“I’m working towards donning the Fiji jersey one day.”

Problems to Fix

Nadi head coach Saula Rabaka said they had some weaknesses which they have to fix it.

He said these are are their line-out and defence in the rucks.

“It will be a good tough game against Naitasiri. In our last game, we wanted to show that we have what it takes to beat Suva.

“We have been training and executing what we learned in the week.

“We have a lot of front rows who are injured and we had to bring in our Under-20 players. We are confident to up our game.”

Rabaka said no matter where they would be playing there is no difference.

“We are going to play rugby, the venue is different except for the game. No matter where Nadi travels. It will be showcasing champagne rugby.”

The match kicks-off at 3pm.
