Navosa women ready to face Malolo

The Navosa Women’s team is determined to build on from their winning start of the Royal Tea Ranadi Cup when they face Malolo at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, today.

Despite a convincing 69-12 win over Ovalau last Friday, Navosa head coach Lepani Naseu told SUNsports yesterday, there are still room for improvement.

“We need to improve our attack, defence and make the most of our scoring opportunities,” Naseu said.

He said the team has regrouped and was looking forward to today’s match.

“Preparations have gone well and the girls are excited for our second game.”

Naseu expects a tough contest against Malolo and said his side would not underestimate their opponent.

“We respect Malolo and know they will bring their best. We have to be ready.”

He also called on their supporters to rally behind the team.

“We invite all our supporters and the vanua o Navosa to come to Lawaqa Park and cheer for the girls.”

Naseu thanked the vanua o Navosa for their continued support throughout the campaign.

All games kick-off at 11am for the women’s fixtures, while the men’s fixtures starts at 3pm
