FMF Foods Limited’s ATPACK, opened its $24,000 tea room yesterday at Walu Bay.

The building was named after one of its longest serving staff, Reite Narayan.

Ms Narayan first joined FMF in 1995 when the company was located at 9 miles, now the Rups Mall.

“I was taken by surprise and never expected that the tea room would be named after me,” Ms Narayan said.

“I have been working for FMF for almost 30 years and have helped me provide for my family.

“This is my family and I thank the company for acknowledging my commitment, it is an honor,” she said.

Group operations manager, Jimi Taniela said the building was their storeroom before it was renovated.

“We thought it was a good idea to name the building after Reite because of her commitment with the organisation.

“She is still a loyal employee until today.”

Mr Taniela said the management always made sure that the commitment and dedication of workers were recognised.

About 130 staff will have access to the newly refurbished tea room.
