Ex-Qantas CFO joins Fiji Airways Board

Narendra Kumar has joined the Fiji Airways Board of Directors, effective from February 13.
“We are delighted to welcome Narendra to the Fiji Airways Board. His leadership and expertise will add valuable perspective as we continue strengthening our operations, expanding our network, and delivering world-class service to our customers,” Fiji Airways Group chairman, Nalin Patel said in a media release.
Mr Kumar currently serves as a Director of House of Travel Pty Limited in Australia as well as House of Travel Holdings Limited in New Zealand.

He has previously held board roles with Air Pacific Limited, Fiji Resorts Limited, Tourism NSW and Harvey Holidays.
Mr Kumar, who is also the former chief financial officer for Qantas International, joined the board as Daksesh Patel departed to join the board of the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF).
“On behalf of our entire Fiji Airways family, I would like to sincerely thank Daksesh Patel for his outstanding leadership, steady guidance and unwavering support during a pivotal period for the airline,” said Fiji Airways’ managing director and chief executive officer, Paul Scurrah.
“His contribution has helped shape our progress and strengthen our future, and we are deeply grateful for the legacy Daksesh leaves behind.”
