The Naviti Resort experienced good occupancy over Fiji Day weekend.
Director sales and marketing Angela Hassan said the hive of Fiji Day festivities at the resort contributed to the rise in occupancy.
Close to 100 guests arrived - some checked in and others were day guests - as the resort came to life with a flag-raising ceremony that marked the beginning of festivities.

“We’re filling up as the majority of guests are walking in,” Ms Hassan said.
Guests and staff engaged in activities such as egg tossing, tug of war, coconut tunnel followed by an hour of cultural experience.
Cultural experience included coconut husking, coconut scraping, and hat weaving to name a few.
A game of volleyball was followed by the lowering of the flag, before a round of touch footy closed the activities for the day.
Rates are valid to Fiji residents every weekend until December, 2020.
