3 men in police custody for Bua stabbing incident

Fiji Police has confirmed that three men are in Police custody in relation to the alleged stabbing incident at Batinivuriwai Settlement, Wainunu, Bua early yesterday morning.

"Police are currently gathering more statements from the area," Police said in a media statement.

"It is alleged that the victim was involved in a brawl at the Batinivuriwai settlement bus shelter.

"The victim was discovered lying down near the roadside with a stabbed wound on his chest.

"He was conveyed to Wainunu Health Center where he was pronounced dead upon arrival."

Investigation into the incident is underway.
