Sad Day For Family As Fire Razes Home

A two-bedroom house was completely destroyed in a fire at Tamavua-i-Wai Settlement on Saturday.
There was no one home when the incident took place.
Owner of the house, Daniela Waquruwale, said his house was occupied by his brother, Peter Bau, his wife and two kids.

“The fire started around 8am. This is a sad news for our family and there is a lot of damage,” he said.
The National Fire Authority managed to contain the fire.
The NFA said that their teams from Valelevu and Suva were at the site as soon as they got the report. There was no major damage caused.
They are investigating the cause of the fire.
