Driver’s Health Complications While At Wheel Causes Accident
A bus driver who is in his late 40’s is admitted at the Sigatoka hospital after suffering health complications which caused a road accident.

A bus driver who is in his late 40’s is admitted at the Sigatoka hospital after suffering health complications which caused a road accident.
The incident happened along Duabale Road in Sigatoka town where an empty Coastal Transport bus rammed into five vehicles including a loaded truck on Friday.
The vehicles suffered damages while being parked at a designated car park.

Police spokesperson Constable Wame Bautolu said: “We confirmed the incident to have happened and vehicles did suffer damages as well.”
He said the driver collapsed while at the wheel, and was rushed to hospital; luckily there were no fatal casualties.
While the Fiji Sun was visiting Coastal Transport, officers from the Fiji Police Force and Land Transport Authority (LTA) were testing the bus along Lawaqa road.
Director Mohammed Imtiaz Gul said: “The driver did suffer a heart attack which caused the incident.
“The bus had travelled about 200 metres before it came to a halt.”
Police said investigations were ongoing.
