Kumar to go for Psychiatric Evaluation
Magistrate Waqaivolavola told the court that Kumar was to be admitted at the hospital yesterday afternoon where he would be under the care of Medical Superintendent Dr Balram Pandit.

Chief Magistrate Josaia Waqaivolavola has granted the application to have Kishore Kumar go through a psychiatric evaluation at the St Giles Psychiatric Hospital in Suva.
Kumar, who was produced from the Suva Remand Centre, appeared at the Suva Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
The order came as an application by Magistrate Seini Puamau, who made a formal application seeking the approval of Magistrate Waqaivolavola to have Kumar attend a medical check-up.

Kumar is to be picked up by the State next Thursday, April 11, however, this would be at the discretion of Dr Pandit.

Kumar told the court that he couldn’t sleep the night before (Tuesday night).
Magistrate Waqaivolavola interrupted him saying the hospital is not harsh compared to the remand centre.
He assured Kumar that he would be taken care of while in the hospital and that he would be picked up within 14 days.
The matter was adjourned to April 12.
