With the strong wind still in place mariners are advised to take the necessary safety precautions and small boat operators must put off all unnecessary travel.
In the Northern Division, officers at the Savusavu Police Station have had to attend to four different reports whereby strong winds and waves have capsized small boats resulting in small rescue operations.
This is a worry and we are again emphasizing the need to adhere to the weather advisories.
