More fuel on the way to Taveuni
Mr Tuisawau said Pacific Energy had confirmed that a fuel truck would be loaded aboard OHANA for the voyage to Savusavu before continuing to Taveuni to replenish fuel stocks.

More fuel is on its way to Taveuni as the Government steps up efforts to restore supplies, with additional fuel tankers and trucks scheduled to arrive on the island this week.
Minister for Public Works, Meteorological Services and Transport Ro Filipe Tuisawau said the Government had been working closely with shipping operators and fuel suppliers to ensure the continued delivery of fuel and other essential supplies.
"I want to assure the people of Taveuni that Government understands the importance of maintaining reliable fuel supplies to support households, businesses and essential services. We have been coordinating closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that fuel continues to reach the island without unnecessary disruption," Mr Tuisawau said.

As part of the arrangements, a Pacific Energy fuel tanker departed Buca Bay (Vatuyalewa) this morning aboard an RPA barge for Taveuni to supplement existing fuel stocks.
Interlink Shipping Line Ltd has also confirmed that its vessel OHANA will operate two scheduled voyages on the Suva–Savusavu–Taveuni route, departing Suva at 7pm today and again at 7pm on July 10, providing additional capacity for fuel and other essential cargo.

He said two fuel trucks belonging to Legends Fuel would also be loaded for transportation to Taveuni, further strengthening fuel supply arrangements for the island.
"I wish to acknowledge the cooperation and commitment demonstrated by Interlink Shipping Line Limited, Pacific Energy, Legends Fuel and all those involved in ensuring that these essential services continue. Their collective efforts are greatly appreciated during this period," Mr Tuisawau said.
He reaffirmed the Government's commitment to maintaining the movement of essential goods and services to Taveuni and said the situation would continue to be monitored in partnership with industry stakeholders to safeguard reliable maritime transport services.
