Mua Set For Le Cordon Bleu Academy

Kokomo Private Island’s pastry chef Cajetina Mua will spend three incredible months of culinary development at the renowned culinary school Le Cordon Bleu Sookmyung Academy in Seoul, South Korea.

Managing Director of The Coli­seum and co-founder of Master Class Fiji Valentin Corchado con­firmed that Ms Mua was awarded the Master Class Fiji scholarship winner for her incredible culinary skills demonstrated at the last lo­cal event.

“She is now ready to go. We re­ceived the approved visa from the South Korean Embassy, for our Master Class Fiji Scholarship winner and Pastry Chef Cajetina Mua,” he said.

“Congratulations to Cajetina and a big thank you to Kokomo Private Island’s Executive Pastry Chef Jon Gladson and General Manag­er Martin Persson for their great support and mentorship.

Mr Corchado thanked all chefs, industry professionals and spon­sors who participated during demonstrations and supported the development of females and gender balance in hotels, resorts and restaurants in Fiji.

The Master Class Fiji event, which was established in 2017, has been supported by The Coliseum, Green Leaf, Blue Gas, MH, New World IGA, Hotelware Supplies (Fiji), Goodman Fielder, Rhum-Ba, PTS, Paradise Beverages, Staging Connections, Fiji Chemicals, TTF, Yalumba, P Meghji, APTC, Le Cor­don Bleu, Victoria Wines, Island Chill, Fresh Choice, and FNU.
