Show Your Family That You Can Be Trusted: CMF Pastor

Show your family that you are a man who can be trusted. This was the message by the Senior Pastor of the Faith Harvest Church Reverend Manasa Kolivuso to the fathers at the Nausori Church yesterday.

Some churches in the country celebrated Father’s day yesterday while many are expected to celebrate the annual event next Sunday.

Reverend Kolivuso spoke on the message of love to challenge fathers of the church.

“Love always protects, it does not destroy, love does not rape, love never commits violence, domestic violence or violence anywhere else,” he told the fathers.

“The rate of domestic violence in Fiji is one of the highest in the world.”

“In a lot of places they still cannot connect with how we call ourselves a Christian country yet live in a country where the rate of domestic violence is still high. Why?” He said it was the father’s job to protect his family."

“My job as a man in my family is that if there is a force that tries to threaten my wife and my children where do they run to? They run to their father.

“Because the man is the protector, love always protects, love always trusts and love always perseveres.”

He added: “If cannot solve the problem in the family, no problem in the world will be solved.

You can come into church nicely dressed but if there is no love at home then it is all of no use. Love should begin at home.”
