Three Nadi Fires in Two Days
A joint investigation between NFA and Police is underway to determine the cause of the fires.

Quick reaction from the National Fire Authority officers and the Navoci villagers saved the village community hall from being destroyed by fire yesterday morning.
Former village headman Epeli Saukuru said: “Luckily there was no strong winds, otherwise more houses would have been burnt down plus our church."
“The owner of the house was at work when the house caught fire at about 7am this morning.

“It it was windy it would have been bad as the fire could have destroyed another three houses, the hall and church.”
Mr Saukuru, also a staff with the Nadi Airport Fire and Rescue, said it was blessing the hall partially damaged by the fire.
A home was destroyed in a fire at Sabeto Village at midday yesterday.
On Tuesday, a home in Korovuto was also razed to the ground.
