Fiji Bitter Marist 7s: Bure Back After 14 Years

The Soa village team from Ra returned to the tournament after a 14-year lapse as officials focused on developing their young players.

The Bure 7s players fo­cused on farming and sell­ing their produce to enable to them to travel Suva for the 43rd Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tourna­ment.

The Soa village team from Ra returned to the tournament after a 14-year lapse as officials focused on developing their young players.

Soa 7s manager Jiuta Koro said: “We want to expose them in this kind of environment especially playing at the ANZ Stadium.

“Even though we don’t have any qualified coaches but for­mer national reps assisted in preparing the team, as the players played and enjoyed their day.

“Sports bring people together and that’s why we are here.”
