Following his Fiji Tennis Open 2026 triumph, Raynal Singh has shifted his focus to his next international challenge— the Oceania Cup 2026 in Tahiti from July 6-11.

He said the Fiji Open success gave him the confidence to prepare for future regional and international tournaments.

“I want to build on this win, use the confidence and continue improving my performance,” he said.

“Long-term, I aim to compete at higher-level international tournaments and represent Fiji strongly.”

Singh said improving development pathways and creating more opportunities for young players would be important for the future of Fijian tennis.

He encouraged emerging Pacific athletes to remain committed despite challenges.

Singh acknowledged the support of Wayne Down, Andrew Brown and Riga Kamoe, describing the Fiji Open title as meaningful and a motivation for the future.

“Tennis has taught me discipline, resilience and how to handle both wins and losses,” he said.

“It has shaped my mind-set not just in sport, but in life.”

Team Fiji will be captained by Amit Sumit Lal, whose experience and leadership will be important as Fiji faces some of Oceania’s strongest tennis nations.

Tennis Fiji president Romil Patel said the team combines experience and recent success as Fiji looks to make its mark at the Oceania Tennis Cup 2026.
