Like father, like son, Fijian Under-20 first - five - eighth Tremaine Little is representing Fiji in rugby.

He is the son of former Flying Fijian Lawrence Little. Tremaine is the nephew of former national rep Walter and cousin of Nicky Little.

From Tokoroa, New Zealand, the Little’s have family ties to Yadua, Nadroga.

Tremaine is one of the five overseas-based players in coach Ifereimi Rawaqa’s 30-member squad.

“It’s a blessing,” Tremaine said.

“I came here with a heavy weight, I wasn’t as fit, but been able to put up the work with these boys for the last eight camps, it’s been an amazing experience.

“It’s definitely a great learning opportunity.”

The 19-year-old is looking forward to competing at the highest level of rugby for his age.

“Playing against some of the best countries, Australia, Argentina and New Zealand, being at that level is the most I can ask for,” he said.

“As a young kid I grew up playing rugby as well and ever since I was young I fell in love with the game.

“And it’s a new experience as well.”

The U20 Oceania Championship will be held at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia from July 1-10.
