Waqanisau: Maintain discipline

The Suva Under-20 head coach Seremaia Waqanisau stressed the need for his team to maintain their discipline throughout the match.

This was after his side copped two yellow cards and one red card in their 24–13 win against Namosi last Saturday’s Skipper Cup U20 clash at Bidesi Park.

“We are taking it one game at a time because we are starting to play against tougher teams now,” Waqanisau said.

“We have been preparing well in our training sessions trying to cover our weaknesses from last week.”

Waqanisau said the team would be trying to improve on their discipline this week.

“We got a red card last week and we played with 14 players for the last 30 minutes.”

Waqanisau said it was a positive sign to see his team hold on to the ball against Namosi.

“We just need to work on our finishing and limit silly mistakes.” he said

“Most of our players this year are from Queen Victoria School, Ratu Kadavulevu School, Marist and Suva Grammar School Under-18 and 19 teams from last year.”

Waqanisau said he reminded the players to have the right attitude while playing.

The match kicks-off at 1pm.
