Having the right mentality during a match is crucial for any team.
Vatukoula Under-20 head coach Joji Nikola said this was key to their, 26-20, win over Malolo last Saturday in their Skipper Cup round nine clash at Theodore Park.
Nikola was proud of his side as they executed every aspect of their game plan; they now shift their focus to this week’s quarterfinal match against Naitasiri.

He acknowledged the player’s dedication and sacrifice.
“I want to thank the boys for their commitment,” Nikola said.
“Some of them travel long distances just to attend training every day. Their sacrifice and hard work has paid off.”
He said they worked on their weaknesses following their 16-17 loss to Ba in round eight.
“The boys showed what they’ve been taught throughout the week and it was all because of their mindset on the field.
Captain Napolioni Senibua thanked the team officials for their support.
“We prepared well throughout the week. We couldn’t have done it without each other.”
