Dropped from the Vodafone Fijiana XV squad to the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England did not deter loosehead prop Salanieta Nabuli.

Fijiana XV head coach Ioan Cunningham had cited disciplinary reason for dropping Nabuli.

However, the powerhouse forward helped Nadroga register their first win in the Subrail Marama Championship this morning. Nadroga proved too strong for Naitasiri by winning 24-0 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. This also marked Naitasiri’s first loss in the competition.

Meanwhile, defending champions Suva maintained their unbeaten run with the 67-0 thrashing of Yasawa at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Friday

Suva women’s captain Reape Didreuva said their target going into the game was to pile up the points.

“We executed our moves well and were able to score those points,” she said.

“We also dominated the scrum and lineout, so from there we were confident of winning this game.”
