Yasawa eyes Marama title in 2027

The Yasawa women’s team has claimed the 2026 Royal Tea Ranadi Cup by thrashing Navosa 43-15 in the final at Suva’s Buckhurst Park, yesterday.
Speaking to SUNsports, Yasawa head coach and prop Tuliana Ragadi said they were excited to win this year’s Royal Tea Ranadi Cup final.
“Firstly, I thank God Almighty, for giving us the power, strength and also the girls for giving their best,” she said.

“Secondly, I thank our opponent, the Navosa women’s team, for giving us a good game.”
Both teams were tied 10-10 at halftime, before Yasawa pulled away in the second half.
“The message delivered to the girls at half-time is just to trust the process and stick to our game plan,” she said.
“The Navosa team is on a mission to win, but to play 80 minutes is also important and at the end of the day there will be only one champion.”
Ragadi said they are looking forward to compete in next year’s Marama Cup competition.
“This is a great boost to the team, and we are ready for the Marama and we are looking forward to it. We are aiming to win that title next year,” she said.
Ragadi also acknowledged their fans for their tireless support throughout the competition.
“This win is dedicated to all our fans and also the people of Yasawa. We would like to thank all of you for supporting the team,” she added.
