Methodist Church leaders gather in Suva for conference
Nine-day conference to feature worship, leadership sessions, March of Witness and ordination service

The Methodist Church in Fiji (MCIF) will convene its 2026 Bose ko Viti Annual Conference in Suva from August 20 to 28, bringing together ministers, lay pastors and church representatives from across the Connexion for nine days of meetings, worship and fellowship.
Held under the theme, “Elevating Christ’s Church to Another Level,” the conference will feature Ministerial and Representative Sessions, a March of Witness, an ordination service, guest presentations and a series of thanksgiving and farewell services.
Proceedings begin tomorrow with the opening of the Ministerial Session, including the President’s Address by the Qase Levu, welcome remarks and adoption of the conference agenda.

A March of Witness will take place on Sunday, August 23, from John Wesley Primary School to Vodafone Arena, followed by a Welcome Service led by Methodist Church President Rev. Dr Semisi Turagavou.
The formal opening of the Annual Conference and the start of the Representative Session will be held on Monday, August 24.
Among the highlights of the week will be guest addresses from the Uniting Church in Australia and the Methodist Church of New Zealand.
The conference will also hear committee reports on evangelism, education, communications, social services and overseas missions, alongside meetings involving church fellowships, lay pastors and youth leaders.
The Ordination Service is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, at Centenary Church.
The conference will conclude on Friday, August 28, with a farewell service and final thanksgiving programme.
