‘Get Up And Generate Your Own Income’

Starting my business was not easy but it was worth all the sacrifices, says Un­aisi Wainibulileka.

Ms Wainibulileka acquired a loan of $1000 from the South Pacific Business Develop­ment back in 2018 to start her food selling business.

This business grew and from the income she was earning, she started another busi­ness, On Time Cleaner.

She employed four of her relatives provid­ing cleaning services to offices and work­places.

Originally from Nauria Ra with maternal links to Solomon Islands, the mother of five was determined that her business would be a great success with the help of her hus­band.

From her business she was able to reno­vate their house and provides essential needs for her kids.

“I also sell yaqona to back up my business just to earn the extra dollars.”

Residing in Lakena Nausori Ms Wain­ibuileka is grateful to the support of the Lakena women centre and its members for believing in the small steps she had taken to achieve her dream.

Ms Wainibulileka encourages young peo­ple and mothers to; “get up, start your own businesses and generate your own income”.
