Cabinet Approves Election Of Municpal Councils

The election of Municipal Councillors for Town and City Councils had been approved by Cabinet.

This was confirmed by Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka during a press conference yesterday.

Mr Rabuka said the process included the establishment of a working group chaired by the Local Government Permanent Secretary, and comprise heads of central agencies, municipal councils chief executive officers and the Fiji Elections Office.
