Fiji Roads Authority Warns Drivers To Take Extra Precautions

Three accidents in Nakasi and one at the Latter-Day Saints Church junction in Koronivia along the Kings Road.

Motorists have been advised to take extra precautions while driving during these wet and rainy weather conditions.

The advisory comes after the Fiji Roads Authority reported four road accidents on Kings Road yesterday, which caused traffic delays.

Three accidents in Nakasi and one at the Latter-Day Saints Church junction in Koronivia along the Kings Road.

Police were at the scene managing traffic.

In the Western Division, Police in Lautoka were searching for the driver of a vehicle who was allegedly involved in an early morning accident at Nadovu, yesterday.

Five people were in hospital with minor injuries.

Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the driver fled the scene.

The incident happened at around 8.30am.

Firefighters were the first respondents at the scene to rescue the passengers.

Investigation continue.
