Nine students from Then India Sanmarga Ikya (TISI) Sangam College of Nursing and a minibus driver were treated for injuries at Labasa Hospital following an accident at Vunivau, Labasa.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that investigations into the accident, which occurred last Wednesday night, are continuing.

Sangam College of Nursing head of school Eleni Kata said all those involved were examined and discharged, except for two students who were kept overnight for observation.

They were discharged from hospital on Thursday morning.

“All have been resting at home since then and most will resume clinical practice today (Monday),” Ms Kata said.

“Alternative transportation has been arranged for students who are currently on clinical practice.”

The arrangement would ensure there was no disruption to students’ attendance in classes or clinical training.
