The installation of the high frequency radio system in the Northern Division, has been labelled a success.
During the recent flash-floods in Labasa and other parts of the Macuata Province, the system was an effective tool for communication, said Commissioner Northern, Uraia Rainima.
He said the use of the high frequency greatly assisted them with on-the-ground reports of floods.
