Traditional ireguregu for Ratu Epeli begins tomorrow
Ratu Epeli will lie in state at State House from 8.30am to 8pm, with the public invited to pay their final respects under controlled entry arrangements

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says preparations for the State Funeral of former President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau are progressing well, with key venues ready and national protocols in place.
Mr Rabuka said the ireguregu at State House will begin on Monday, April 13, with all delegations required to register with the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs.
He said the cortege will depart Oceania Hospitals at 6am on Thursday, April 16, escorted by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, and will travel through Suva.

Members of the public are encouraged to stand along the route via Waimanu Road, Marks Street, Usher Street, Scott Street, Victoria Parade and Queen Elizabeth Drive to pay their respects.
Mr Rabuka said Ratu Epeli will lie in state at State House from 8.30am to 8pm on Thursday, with the public invited to pay their final respects under controlled entry arrangements. Registration is required through the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs.
He said the State Funeral service will be held at Albert Park on Friday, April 17, at 8.30am, followed by a final procession through Suva to Bau Landing.

Please note that only reguregu delegations that have registered through the above contacts will be permitted to present their reguregu. This measure is to ensure proper coordination, order, and respect throughout the official proceedings.
The Ministry further advises the following protocols to be observed by all attendees:
Dress Code: Black and White only
Women: Hair to be worn loose (not tied)
Sunglasses and bags are not permitted within the Presidential Grounds
