Why have a four-day Girmit carnival to celebrate Girmit Day?

Our forefathers are dead and gone are the days of Girmit.

A public holiday is ok but spending $200,000 this year on Girmit festival is wrong.

That money could be better utilised to provide much needed renovation of the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva.

Gone are the days of Girmit.
