Fiji-born Rebels players Angelo Smith and Filipo Daugunu scored a try each but it was not enough as they were walloped 53-17 by the Brumbies in Canberra, Australia, on Friday night.
The Rebels are in sixth position of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific points table standing with their final match against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, next Saturday in Lautoka.
Meanwhile, Hurricanes have taken the lead on the points table after 20-17 win over the Chiefs.
