The Fiji Volleyball Federation (FVF) cancelled their Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was to be held today.

The decision was made after an executive board meeting following a review discussion with their legal team.

The cancellation notice was issued by FVF interim president Joe Gray.

“The legal team has advised for proper governance procedures and integrity to the members, a Special General Meeting (SGM) must be held before the AGM. This is to clarify and approve any changes to the constitution and membership fees,” Gray said.

“Therefore, due to the advice of the legal team, Fiji Volleyball Federation executives must follow procedures as per the current constitution and will call for an SGM.”

The interim president indicated that this would done as soon as the board advise them the date for the SGM.

“FVF apologises for the inconveniences and delays caused while in the process of auditing financials and reviewing policy, procedures and proper documentation. We look forward to your cooperation in this matter,” he added.
