We can upset Nadi: Baikeitoga

Tailevu rugby coach Samisoni Baikeitoga believes that his players need to bulk up if they are to take Nadi down.

Tailevu hosts Nadi in the Skipper Cup clash at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Saturday.

Baikeitoga said yesterday that they are expecting a tough battle in defending their home soil.

Nadi is the current INKK Mobile Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy holder.

Baikeitoga said they are looking at ways on how to create an upset win.

“We’ve to set out gameplay right as we are looking for our first win against Nadi this weekend.”

Baikeitoga said they really learned a lot from their game against Nadroga and are working on their set piece.

“We know Nadi will play the same style as Nadroga and we’ve come prepared for it with our set pieces and defence strategy,” he said.

“We know they have big forwards and also good depth on their bench. We will come prepared.”

He said their main objective is to defend their ground and play their best against Nadi.

“Last week, some of our players that played were too light but this week, we want to bulk them up a bit.

“We have new players in the squad and we look to give them game time so they can showcase what they can do on the field.

“I thank the boys for their efforts and I know we can topple Nadi with the right mindset, good game plan and right execution,” Baikeitoga added.
