Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute continue their unbeaten run as they head into the semifinals in two days.
In their last pool game, they defeated Ratu Navula College, 8-3.
Ba Provincial will take on RNC again the first semifinal while Cuvu College faces Lautoka’s Natabua High School.
The four teams played their last round of pool matches last week.
Western Zone secondary schools rugby secretary Serupepeli Sovau Saukuru says Ba Provincial is the West’s favourite.
“They are the only team that is undefeated and some players have been playing for some time,” Saukuru said.
“Cuvu College has lost one game, this makes our semifinals interesting.
“Schools have been preparing well so we are expecting exciting rugby.
“The Western Zone semifinals are on this Saturday, after that we will prepare for the national quarterfinals.”
Meanwhile for the Southern Zone; the boys’ division will have its quarterfinals on Saturday.
The Raluve Weet-Bix Under-18 schoolgirls’ semifinals are curtain raisers to the second Fiji Rugby Invitational match between the Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors and the Manuma Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium on Saturday.
Serua schools Ratu Latianara Secondary and Lomary Secondary School have secured their spots in the Raluve semi-final.
The other two teams are Ballantine Memorial School and giant killers Naitasiri Secondary School.
