2 Fresh Touch Rugby Club is embracing a new-look squad and believes it has what it takes to challenge for top honours in this weekend’s Battle of the Mix tournament.
The club members spent the past few weeks preparing for the competition, with several new reps joining the side from the Suva Touch Association Business House competition and also from other local teams.
Senior player Savenaca Vocea said the blend of youth and experience has created a fresh dynamic within the squad.

The association now has Under-14, Business House, Masters Mixed and Open Mixed grades, bringing together people from different communities and backgrounds.”
Special recognition was also given to the STA executive committee for its efforts in growing the sport. “I’d like to acknowledge the executive committee, which is made-up of about five or six women who are driving the Suva Touch Association forward.
