The Malolo Rugby Union (MRU) will hold its awards night on December 8 at the Nasigatoka Hall. This was confirmed to SUNsports yesterday by the MRU president Ratu Jone Tuilawa.

The Tide Tribe Malolo rugby side created history by winning this year's Skipper Cup competition.

Ratu Jone said the reason they have chosen Nasigatoka Hall as the venue is because majority of their players reside in the area. He said invitations have been sent out to players, their families, team officials, and coaches.

"It will be a meaningful occasion for our players, coaches, executives, and administrators," Ratu Jone said.

"The awards night is our way of recognising the players, management, especially the families and sponsors who have supported the team throughout the 2025 season."

He also highlighted the invaluable support of the village chiefs, the Van.ua o Nasigatoka, and the local church pastor, whose generosity helped sustain the team during their training camps.

He extended sincere thanks to all stakeholders for their ongoing support, stressing that their contribution has been crucial to the MRU's growth.
