Police get $15K Sukuna Bowl boost

The Fiji Police Force received a timely boost of $15k from TotalEnergies Marketing (Fiji) limited ahead of the 2025 Ratu Sukuna Bowl tournament.

The sponsorship was officially handed over to the Fiji Police Force Sukuna Bowl Secretariat, reaffirming TotalEnergies’ long-standing commitment to supporting sports, discipline, and community policing initiatives.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aporosa Lutunauga thanked TotalEnergies for its continued support over the years.

“The Sukuna Bowl is not just a rugby match, it is a platform for the Fiji Police to strengthen community policing and raise awareness on issues that affect our people,” ACP Lutunauga said. 

He added that the partnership reflected the force’s new strategic vision for a “safe and secure Fiji for all” under its 2025–2029 plan.

“Today, we are walking the talk,” ACP Lutunauga said. 

“With TotalEnergies coming on board, we are able to materialise our mission of serving the people of Fiji through strong partnerships.”

Chairman of the Ratu Sukuna Bowl Committee and Director Human Resources Management, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jovilisi Leweniqila, said as hosts of this year’s event, the Fiji Police Force was grateful for the support received so far.

“All sponsorships given will go directly towards funding the Ratu Sukuna Bowl events,” SSP Leweniqila said. 

“Our total budget for this year is $200,000, which will cater for all 15 games, three to be held in Labasa and 12 in Suva.”

He added that the Ratu Sukuna Bowl was more than just a sporting event, it represented unity and teamwork between the disciplined forces.

“This is a proud tradition that unites the Fiji Police Force and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces,” SSP Leweniqila said. 

Representing TotalEnergies, Eroni Verevukivuki said the company was proud to stand alongside the Fiji Police Force once again.

“The Ratu Sukuna Bowl showcases discipline, unity, and excellence,” Verevukivuki said. “Through our $15,000 sponsorship, we hope to contribute to this great cause and support the ongoing fight against drugs, crime, and addiction under this year’s theme ‘United for Victory.’”

The 2025 Ratu Sukuna Bowl will continue to strengthen the bond between the disciplined forces, both on and off the field, while promoting teamwork, discipline, and national pride.

Tickets 

Tickets for the 2025 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Games are officially on sale, with fans now able to secure seats for key matches in Labasa.

The games scheduled for November 20–21 at Subrail Park, Labasa include soccer, women’s service rugby, and men’s rugby.

Physical tickets for these events can be purchased from Police headquarters at Laucala Beach, Suva, and the Northern Division Police HQ in Labasa.
