Willie Walker has been appointed as the new head coach of the Vodafone Fijiana 15s, ushering in a new era for Fiji's national women's rugby programme.

The Fiji Rugby Union announced the appointment today, highlighting Walker's impressive coaching résumé and proven track record of success in New Zealand women's rugby.

Walker will take charge of the Fijiana for their two Test matches against South Africa, to be played this Saturday and the next weekend.

The former Black Ferns XV and Blues Women head coach guided the Blues to three consecutive Super Rugby Aupiki titles from 2024 to 2026.

He also led the Blues to a 35-25 victory over Super W champions the NSW Waratahs in last week's Women's Super Rugby Champions Final.
