Overnight roadworks to affect Denarau traffic tonight

Motorists travelling near Denarau tonight are advised to expect delays as the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) carries out urgent overnight road reinstatement works near Beyond Paints.

The FRA, in a statement, said the works would be carried out off Denarau Island near the bend after Beyond Paints heading towards town, where the Water Authority of Fiji recently completed works.

FRA said work would begin at 9pm tonight and is expected to finish around 7am tomorrow, with the project expected to take about 10 hours.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane during the works and motorists should expect delays in the area.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and remain vigilant when approaching the work site.
