Pacific Energy has announced a three-year partnership with rugby legend Waisale Serevi, who will serve as the company's official brand ambassador.

The partnership aims to promote Pacific Energy's core values and support Mr Serevi's efforts to fight drug use in Fiji.

Pacific Energy chief executive o f ficer Stephane Cadel said the Company was honoured that Mr Serevi embodied its core values, particularly its motto, 'We are who you are'.

"We are confident that his commitment will help us to promote this message within our community and region," Mr Cadel said.

''As a former top-level sportsman, he is a champion. He's a winner, the king of Rugby Sevens. Above all that, he knows the price of e f fort, the price of pain, the price of hard work to have made his dreams come true."

Mr Cadel said through his 'Say No to Drugs' campaign, Pacific Energy would support and help campaigns to combat the drug issue.

"We believe this collaboration will open up new opportunities for growth and strengthen our presence in this mission," he said.

Former rugby legend Waisale Serevi said the Serevi Rugby Academy focused on youth development in Fiji, aiming to provide free rugby training and mentorship to young people, particularly those at risk of drug abuse.

"Last year, recognising the growing drug issues in Fiji that we cannot ignore, I felt compelled to bring this program back home," he said.

"My wife and I started this initiative from scratch, and now, a f ter five months, I want t o extend my gratitude to Pacific Energy for their support in helping us move forward.

"I want to thank Stephane and Pacific Energy for standing by us as we fight this cause, aiming to ensure that no more kids fall victim to drugs.

Mr Serevi said their programme was proactive, and they aimed not only to prevent more youth from getting involved with drugs but also to support those who are already struggling.

"We need to advocate for kids in Fiji. The future lies in our youth, children, and grandchildren, and we must stand up for them," he said.

"With this partnership, we share the slogan, 'We are who you are."

We look forward to working together to create a brighter future for the youth over the coming years."
