Nadi man charged over false car theft claim
The accused will appear in the Nadi Magistrate Court today.

A Denarau man has been charged after allegedly falsely claiming his vehicle was stolen from Wailoaloa Beach in Nadi while he was out for a walk.
Police said a report was lodged at Namaka Police Station on March 21, alleging an unknown person had taken the vehicle.
Investigations later led officers to an auto spares company, where parts of the vehicle were found.

Police allege the vehicle had been sold to the company by the accused.
He has been charged with one count of giving false information to a public servant and will appear in the Nadi Magistrate Court today.
