A new ray of dawn shines upon Bua Lomanikoro villagers in Bua province after an 11-year wait for a bridge accessibility came to an end on Friday.
The Tui Bua, Ratu Makutu Nagagavoka said the suspension bridge would provide an important link between the two communities.
The bridge, worth more than $1 million, is expected to improve access and movements between Bua Lomanikoro and Naikavaki.

“After 11 years, our prayers have been answered,” he said.
Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, officially commissioned this project yesterday.
Mr Rabuka said the bridge construction was aided with a collaborative approach adopted.
The first bridge in the area was constructed in 1964, while the second bridge was later built at the same location where the new bridge was commissioned.
