Prasad Graduates with Masters and Hopes to Inspire Girls, Women

Despite juggling the responsibilities of teaching and motherhood, Bijita Prasad successfully obtained her Master of Education yesterday.
At the Fiji National University graduation ceremony, she not only received her degree but also earned the prestigious gold medalist prize.
Ms Prasad expressed that the journey was filled with challenges, but ultimately rewarding.

Balancing her roles as a teacher and a mother of two was no easy feat, but she managed to overcome obstacles and achieve her academic goals.
“I started off my career as a teacher way back in 2016 at Sila Central High School, a choice that I didn’t regret,” Ms Prasad said.
“From getting my degree to finishing off my postgraduate studies, achieving my masters is a dream come true.”
Ms Prasad found her motivation and inspiration from her students, which was a huge driving force for her.
“Most times, keeping up with deadlines was a barrier for me; there were times I wanted to give up,” Ms Prasad said.
“But going through the hard trials of getting it done, I did it for my family and my students too.”
In the midst of a rapidly evolving modern world, she emphasised the importance of upholding integrity and self-worth at all costs.
As a woman, achieving such milestones serves as inspiration for the next generation of young women. She urges young individuals to fearlessly pursue their dreams.
