Toddler, 3, latest drowning victim
The circumstances leading up to the unfortunate incident are under investigation.

The body of a three-year-old child has been discovered in a river opposite Wakanisila Settlement in Nasinu.
The Fiji Police Force has confirmed that the child is the country’s latest drowning victim.
“A report was received at the Nasinu Police Station yesterday morning, after the child had gone missing from his home in the Naibulivatu Settlement in Laqere, whereby search efforts were initiated,” a police statement read.

The national drowning toll currently stands at 27, compared to 45 for the same period last year.
