The Moce cricket team has been crowned champions of the 2026 India–Fiji Twenty20 cricket tournament, held at Albert Park last Saturday in a spirited finale that drew strong community support.

The tournament was proudly sponsored by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, and co-sponsored by New India Assurance, LICI, NZOTC, and Kava Kings, highlighting continued sporting and cultural collaboration between Fiji and India.

The competition brought together Suva affiliated cricket club teams alongside a business houses division, showcasing strong participation across both community and corporate sectors.

In the competition, the Moce men’s cricket team emerged as champions, while Danam Fiji claimed the Business House title.

Club competition:

Champions: Moce Cricket Club – Trophy and $800 cash prize

Runners-Up: Army Cricket Club – Trophy and $500 cash prize

Individual Awards:

Best Bowler: Peni Kotoisuva – Trophy and $50 cash prize

Best Batsman: Cama Buadromo – Trophy and $50 cash prize for consistent batting performance throughout the tournament

Diplomat/Business House Category

Champions: Danam Fiji – Trophy and $800 cash prize

Runners-Up: Brown Kings – Trophy and $500 cash prize

Individual Awards:

Best Player / Best Bowler: Viliame Mataika – Trophy and $50 cash prize

Best Batsman: Mr. Malinga (Danam Fiji) – Trophy and $50 cash prize after scoring an impressive 102 runs in the final.
