Super 8 Championship Returns as Fiji's Top Cricket Teams Battle for 2026 Title

Cricket Fiji has announced the return of its premier domestic competition, the Super 8 Championship 2026, to be held from August 11-15 at Albert Park, Suva.

The tournament returns after a one-year break, with defending champions Kabara aiming to retain the title they won in the inaugural 2024 championship after defeating Suva in the final.

The eight qualified teams earned their places through the 2026 Easter Tournament. They are Kabara, Suva, Nadi, Lakeba, Moce, Komo, Ono and Namuka.

Cricket Fiji chief executive officer Anushil Kumar said the return of the championship is a major boost for domestic cricket.

"We're delighted to bring back the Super 8 Championship. The Easter Tournament provided a strong pathway to qualification, and we now have the country's top eight teams ready to compete. We congratulate all the qualified teams and look forward to an exciting week of cricket at Albert Park."

Kumar said Cricket Fiji is committed to delivering a high-quality tournament and enhancing the experience for players, officials, fans and partners, with more announcements to come ahead of the event.

The official tournament draw and match schedule will be released in the coming days.
