Maori Pomeroy-Farrell claimed bronze at the World Junior Diving Championships, becoming the first ever Fijian athlete to win a medal at a World Aquatics competition in Croatia.
World Aquatics said it was a landmark moment for Fiji diving and a huge achievement on the world stage.
The 17-year-old won the medal in the three-metre springboard, marking a major breakthrough for Fiji diving on the world stage.
The Canada-born has paternal links to Wainunu, Bua and holds both a Canadian and Fijian passport.
The dual citizen became the first diver to represent Fiji at a World Aquatics Championships in 2023, competing at the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
