Veteran Levani Botia showed his class at open­side flanker scoring two tries for La Rochelle in their 54-19 win over Montauban in the French Top 14 competition.

Botia's tries were scored in the 40th and 68th minute while sub­stitute Semi Lagivala scored a try in the 43rd minute.

Elusive Simeli Daunivucu was at second-­five eight while Montauban had Josua Vici on the wing.

Sireli Maqala was at centre for Bayonne in their 44-17 win over Clermont who had Alivereti Loaloa at centre, as well.

Castres with veteran lock Leone Nakarawa, Adrea Cocagi at cen­tre along with substitute Vili­moni Botitu beat Stade Francais 29-24.

Winger Jiuta Wainiqolo scored a late try for Lyon but it was not enough as they went down 13-35 to Montpellier.

Salesi Rayasi was at his best for Bordeaux in their 27-12 win over USA Perpignan- who had Peceli Yato at lock and Tavite Veredamu on the wing.

Meanwhile, at the Gallagher Premiership the combination of No.8 Viliame Mata and Kala­veti Ravouvou did the trick for Bristol Bears in their 49-34 win over Gloucester on Friday. Mata scored a try in the 62nd minute while Ravouvou scored tries in the 72nd and 77th minute.

Loosehead prop Eroni Mawi started for Saracens as they wal­loped Sale 65-14.

Maqala, Botitu, Wainiqolo, Mata, Ravouvou and Mawi are part of the 32-member Flying Fi­jians squad for next month's Eu­rope tour.
