Defending Super W champions, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua has booked a home semi-final for the first time.
The Mosese Rauluni-coached side beat ACT Brumbies 20-7 at the GIO Stadium in Canberra tonight.
Drua captain Karalaini Naisewa said they came to win to get a home semifinal.
“We worked on our discipline but we wanted to take our semifinal home,” Naisewa said.
The Drua led 10-7 at halftime with a try to flanker Sulita Waisega and converted by Lusia Tisolo who also kicked two penalties.
The Drua’s final try was scored by winger Atelaite Buna who ran 50 metres to score and also was spot on with her tackles as she took down players twice her size.
The Fijian Drua’s home semifinal will be on Saturday, April 20, with the venue yet to be decided.
