Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is backing the Vodafone Fijiana XV to defeat world No. 10 South Africa when the two sides meet in the opening Test of their two-match series at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva tomorrow.
Speaking to Sun Sports in Labasa today, Mr Rabuka said he wanted the Fijiana players to wear the national jersey with pride and live up to the expectations of the nation.
"Every time they go out and run up in the Fijian jersey, remember, we are behind you," he said.

The Fijiana have previously beaten South Africa 21-17 at the 2021 Women's Rugby World Cup.
"The entire nation will be cheering for you so you have a chance to ink your name in the history books by winning against South Africa," Mr Rabuka said.
A win over South Africa could help Fiji gain valuable world ranking points and move above Wales into 12th place.
Mr Rabuka described the series as a golden opportunity for the Fijiana to punch above their weight and compete against more resourced and developed national unions.
He said a series victory could also encourage more Tier One nations to play in Fiji.
The PM is expected to be at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva tomorrow to watch the Fijiana in action.
Mr Rabuka said the players needed the right mindset and a clear, workable plan to defeat the Springbok Women.
"It's another great opportunity to showcase our Fijian brand of rugby to the world," he said.
The match kicks off at 2pm.
