The Ratu Latianara College girls' Under-18 team is determined to maintain its winning streak in Round 3 of the Weet-Bix Raluve Competition at Thomson Park in Navua this weekend.
Under-18 head coach and former Under-16 Raluve-winning coach Ratu Seru Kuriyalavou said consistency remains the team's main objective.
"Consistency is always our team goal every week," Kuriyalavou told SUNsports.
"Our objective is to remain consistent and continue building upwards, treating every game as a final."
He said the team was looking forward to Saturday's match and preparations were progressing well.
"The team's preparation is going quite well. The players, coaches and teachers are working together to balance schoolwork and training. We work within the time available, which is one hour of training each day.
"During training, the coaches focus on building fitness through strength and conditioning while also improving the players' physical and match fitness. Overall, our preparation centres on understanding and mastering the basics of rugby."
Kuriyalavou said that despite their 31-5 win over Dudley High School last week, there were still areas that required improvement.
"The key area we need to focus on is fitness. We believe that if our fitness levels are right, supported by proper strength and conditioning, then our game plan of playing simple, basic rugby will work well," he said.
He also called on supporters to rally behind the team.
"We call on all our supporters to back the team through their prayers and their presence.
"Your support at every match matters the most."
